Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 87-88
Notes of cherries, sweet berries, loamy soil and cigar wrapper preface the 2021 Moulin de Duhart, a medium-bodied, bright and charming wine that’s nicely balanced and harmonious. It’s a well-made bottling that will drink well young.
Vinous 87-89
The 2021 Moulin de Duhart, aged in used oak, has quite a juicy nose, driven by the 64% Merlot, with copious raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry scents, and just a hint of pencil lead in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a touch of sour dark cherry, and quite citric toward the finish. Fresh but not aggressive, this will require just two or three years in bottle.
