Tasting Notes
Burghound 90
Here too there is a slightly more prominent note of herbal tea to the cooler essence of red berries, tar and smoke-suffused aromas. The supple and delicious if not especially concentrated medium weight flavours possess an attractive sense of verve that carries over to the similarly bitter pit fruit-inflected finish where the smoky character reflected by the nose remerges. This is certainly pretty but it s not quite as harmonious at this early stage.
James Suckling 94
Perfumed and complex with mesmerizing aromas of nicely ripe strawberries with flowers, berries and spices. Medium to full body. Firm and fine tannins and a fresh, linear finish. The aftertaste shows subtle fruit, peat and spices. Drinkable now, but one for the cellar.
