Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 88
A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Gombaude-Guillot has plenty of red cherry and cranberry fruit on the nose, pastille-like with a pinch of white pepper underneath. The palate is sweet on the entry, fleshy in mouthfeel with an almost Pinot Noir-like personality. It is not the most complex vintage that I have tasted from Pomerol’s only certified biodynamic estate, although it doles out a pleasing sweet raspberry and strawberry finish. Drink over the next decade.
