Tasting Notes
Vinous 95
Lalou Bize-Leroy’s 2014 Vosne-Romanée Genaivrières is simply magnificent. A wine of precision, tension and nuance, the 2014 is delicate and beautifully lifted in the glass. Sweet red cherry and pomegranate fruit, silky tannins and expressive aromatics convey an impression of total sensuality. The Genaivrières is one of the more feminine wines in the range. There is a hint of reduction, so readers who open this young will want to give the wine a good bit of air. As good as the 2014 is today, I would wait, as the wine needs time to come together.
