The 2009 Pernand-Vergelesses Sous Fretille shows wonderful intensity and centeredness in its rich fruit. Hints of butter, spice and vanillin from the oak develop in the glass, adding complexity but not detracting at all from what is a very pretty, understated wine. [Antonio Galloni, 09/01/2011]
