Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 87
This is one of the few 2009s that performed less impressively from bottle than from barrel. (In most cases, as great as they were from barrel, the wines were even more profound from bottle.) This wine seems to be very much in the style of a 2005, with very high levels of worrisome tannin, a dense purple color and some real meat and concentration, but the tannins are austere and astringent. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025?
