Tasting Notes
Vinous 91-94
(in barrel, not yet racked) Reticent nose shows grilled nuts, nut oil and lemon; in a slightly disorganized, oxidative stage and not quite pristine today. Then much fresher and more delineated in the mouth, with lovely sweetness to buffer the penetrating flavors of minerals, powdered stone and hazelnut oil. Finishes tight and long, with an almost tannic impression. In a somewhat awkward stage today; it’s quite clear why this one will be bottled so late.
