Having inherited a small 3 hectare plot in Santenay from his father in 1982, Vincent Girardin managed to significantly expand the domain, which now covers 29 hectares of biodynamically managed vineyards across Cote de Beaune, including such acclaimed Grand Cru sites, as Corton-Charlemagne, Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet among others. In May 2012, Vincent Girardin sold his business to Jean-Pierre Nié, and the new owners stayed true to the Domaine’s name and style, keeping the same team on board. Eric Germain remains the head winemaker, delivering deep complex whites and refined elegant reds vintage to vintage.
