Marc Colin and his wife Michele established their domaine in the late 1970s with six hectares of vines – some of which had been in their families for over a century. Two of their four children, Caroline and Damien, now run the domaine. Having doubled its holdings to 12 hectares, Domaine Marc Colin produces characterful expressions of pinot noir and chardonnay throughout 26 appellations in Saint Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay. The domaine uses part biodynamic methods and part culture raisonée manage to avoid the use of pesticides in their vines and grow the best quality grapes possible.

Domaine Marc Colin produces wines of all levels including Grand Cru and produces on average 80,000 bottles per year – 90% of which is white wine and 10% red wine. The domaine’s enduring popularity means that 50% of their production is now sold in twenty countries around the world. Damien and Caroline focus on producing white wines with great freshness and elegance that show excellent ageing potential. This has, in recent years, affirmed the domaine’s reputation as a top producer of white wine in the Cote de Beaune.
